Choose the operating model before using a deployment runbook.

For customer-operated SynckHub Free Self-Hosting, customer root owns the data plane, local identities and password hashes, private keys, data, and backups. SynckHub has no remote access path.

The Ansible, Vault, Tailscale, and multi-host pages are for SynckHub-managed deployments. They are not prerequisites for customer-operated Free Self-Hosting.
